However, the claims that guests would see “no mosquitoes” and “never” encounter any were greatly exaggerated. Exaggerated HeadlinesĪ number of headlines led to stories about Disney World’s mosquito control, such as: “Why Are There No Mosquitoes at Disney World?” Another said: “Banned From Disney World: Why You Don’t See Mosquitoes at the Most Magical Place on Earth.” A third read: “The Fascinating Reason Why There Are No Mosquitoes at Disney World.” Several used the word “never”: “This Is Why You Never See Mosquitoes at Disney World.” Some have even said that park guests would “never” encounter them.Ĭertain rumors about Disney have a way of continuing to spread like legends for decades, such as the idea that Walt Disney was frozen after he died. Over the years, various headlines and Reddit threads have claimed that “no mosquitoes” can be found at Walt Disney World Resort because of mosquito control.
